Integrated approach for the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive in Greece (LIFE SIP GR Blue)
Greece's extensive coasts and numerous islands will benefit from full implementation of the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive and alignment with the Nature Restoration Regulation. The project team will carry out and monitor targeted actions on biodiversity, fisheries, pollution, marine litter and underwater noise whilst running national awareness and capacity-building campaigns to strengthen governance and coordination in support of the EU environment and climate policies.

Boosting knowledge, management and restoration of Natura 2000 wetlands in Spain (LIFE HumedalES)
Spain's wetlands are rich in biodiversity and abundance, but they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Backed by over 40 stakeholders, LIFE HumedalES — the largest LIFE project in the programme's history — will support the 2030 National Strategic Plan for Wetlands by restoring 26 200 ha of wetlands across 43 types of habitat on 107 Natura 2000 sites. LIFE HumedalES also aims to raise an additional €111 million in complementary funding to support the implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation in Spain.

Regional roadmap for accelerating climate change adaptation in Grand Est (LIFE ADAPT EST)
France's Grand Est region is highly vulnerable to climate change and suffers from heatwaves, droughts and floods which impact people, businesses and nature. ADAPT EST will support the implementation of the Grand Est adaptation roadmap through a broad range of regional, national and cross-border partners in France and Germany. The project will also improve climate knowledge, enhance water governance, strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure and boost adaptation across multiple sectors.

Limburg4LIFE: Ready for a Circular Future (CEL4LIFE)
The province of Limburg aims for a 100% circular economy by 2050. Limburg4LIFE will support Limburg's Circular Economy Action Plan — which includes a 50% reduction in raw material use — by identifying and unblocking major bottlenecks in resource-intensive industries such as chemicals, manufacturing and construction. The project will involve partners from other Dutch provinces, and Belgian and German regions, to ensure replication.

Roadmap for circularity in the Azorean agroforestry sector (LIFE IP AGRILOOP)
LIFE AGRILOOP builds on technical work already carried out by the Azores' Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Rural Development. The project aims to implement the recently approved roadmap for Azorean agroforestry circular economy across the nine islands to align regional action with EU and national policies. Innovative actions and complementary funding mechanisms will be explored to reduce risks, support effective implementation and showcase island-based circular solutions in the agroforestry, agrifood and tourism sectors which could be replicated in other Atlantic archipelagoes such as Madeira and the Canary Islands.

Nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation in Slovakia (NatAdaptSK)
NatAdaptSK supports Slovakia's national adaptation action plan using nature-based solutions (NbS) to combat climate change. The project focuses on water, agriculture, forests, biodiversity, human settlements and health to improve climate resilience and adaptation. The team will implement pilots across 3 river basins and 5 national parks, develop innovative green and blue infrastructure NbS and promote them to citizens through living ‘AdaptLabs' in 3 selected cities.

Actions for Waters - from Source to Sea (ACWA LIFE)
Using a ‘source-to-sea' approach, ACWA LIFE will focus on reducing the impact of human activities on streams, lakes, coastal waters and ground water. The project team will implement river basin management plans and marine strategies in line with both the EU Water Framework Directive and Marine Strategy Framework Directive, using targeted, cost-effective and scalable approaches on coastal and inland demonstration sites.
